Google Unleashes FriendConnect on Blogger Under Following Nickname

Google quietly releases FriendConnect but misleads most with Following widget

My friend JohnT has the lowdown on his City Social Marketing blog as FriendConnect from Google is being overlooked because of a misnomer as the new Blogger following widget.

Still kind of murky as to Google’s full intentions but Googling Social shapes up a little more each day.

    I was just on one of the sites that is running Friend Connect and it did not carry friends that I had already added there. Also I had already joined the blog thru the Friend Connect widget and now it is showing me as a new visitor.

    I can see why Google is testing this interface and then pulling it back, they are still have portability problems.

    I really do feel lucky to have seen the full version on my blog and others even for a few hours. I have way more insight to how it is going to work and the full scope of Googling Social.
