wow..... great website/blog. I just discovered your site by googling "why no one diggs my digg posts" and I was not suprised to learn that most diggers are just insecure people. keep up the great work!

Excellent. This is a very well designed presentation. I never dreamed that I'd watch the entire show, but it ties in very well with some of my own thoughts.

Agreed, no matter where the recommendation comes from I purchase wherever I find the best deal. I want an interface that allows me to plug in what I want to use for search. Whether that's content, recommendations or pricing otherwise I will always go outside that network for what I consider to be the best for the job.

I did. And I agree that the many useful apps are already in place. Why create a new Google Me site? Why not simply make Google.com the central networking site? That would make for real news! And Facebook would have a real competitor, not just another Google apps called Google Me.

Food for thought, Chris. I'm for a central identity site from which it is easy to identify how you relate to me, possibly in several ways. At that level, I am not concerned about privacy. Once any aspect of our relationship has been confirmed (based on a privacy check), our total relationship should be available to us, including some or all of our relationships with others that we have agreed upon from time to time. It appears to me that Google Wave could be a useful platform for that if combined with a Facebook-like feature. Maybe that's what Google is working on.

hi there

Well it Looks like the winner will the first to patch it all together in a workable, smooth transition.

Facebook has the head start on the social side and is ALMOST there on the transition to sales.

Google on the other hand has the Best search options, and most of the other elements are ready, they just need patching together better.

very interesting slide show.

[...] Who ever puts all three of these pieces together first, conversations, ads for products in those conversations and context ads for those same products, could well win this social war of Facebook VS Google. [...]

This is a very interesting post.

It does make you think, whether it's family, friends, co-workers or acquaintances, we play different roles..and share accordingly.

Who we influence is built a pone our actions, time, and therefore trust.

Thanks for sharing this post Chris:)
